Meet Our Chef Salvatore Parretta

Born and raised in Napoli, Italy, Salvatore Parretta brings 30+ years of culinary experience to every plate. A graduate of Università di Aversa, he’s led kitchens across Bologna, Rome, the French Riviera, and the GTA, building a reputation for authentic Italian cooking, calm leadership, and a smile that never quits.

Where it all began

Salvatore earns his Culinary Degree from Università di Aversa, just outside his hometown of Napoli, Italy.

1992

Sharpening the craft in Bologna

Joins Il Galeone in Bologna as Sue Chef, mastering fresh pasta, scratch-made desserts, and signature fish dishes while managing the kitchen for private events.

2007

A taste of the French Riviera

Founds his own catering business in Mentone, France, specializing in Italian bite-sized cuisine and elegant tablescapes for private events.

2009

Returning to Italy at the highest level

Takes over as Executive Chef at Sibilla in Rome, a high-class restaurant known for impeccable standards and creative plating.

2012

A new chapter in Canada

Brings authentic Italian cuisine to Vaughan, Ontario as Executive Chef of Vini E Zucchini, leading the kitchen and overseeing food service operations.

2021

Toronto's Sip Wine Bar

Becomes Executive Chef at Sip Wine Bar in Toronto, heading up all culinary operations and private event catering.
